HIOSH ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Department of Labor and Industrial Relations’ Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health (HIOSH) Advisory Committee was formed to assist the State designee and the HIOSH program in carrying out its mission of preventing injuries and illnesses in Hawaii’s workplaces.
SAFETY AND HEALTH ACHIEVEMENT RECOGNITION PROGRAM (SHARP)
SHARP is the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program of the Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Division (HIOSH). If your worksite qualifies,you can be exempt from routine or programmed HIOSH inspections for up to two years.
VOLUNTARY PROTECTION PROGRAM (VPP)
The Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) promote effective worksite-based safety and health. In the VPP, management, labor, and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system.
